Nomzamo was born in Guguletu Cape Town. She obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences at the University of Cape Town majoring in Government and Administration. Her professional career began in 1997 where she completed her internship at UCT in Human Resources Management; she later joined Deloitte as a Recruitment Officer. Her passion for development and engagement with social issues led her into joining the South African Centre for Organisational Development (SACORD) in 2001 as Projects Officer in various Youth and Student Programmes. In 2004 she joined the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) South Africa Country Office Pretoria as a Programme Assistant in the 'Integrated response to HIV, AIDS and Poverty Programme'. In 2005 she was appointed the focal person for the Leadership Development for Result, a UNDP programme initiative, in bringing together multiple stakeholders to work together to address HIV/AIDS. In 2006 she was deployed in Limpopo Province with a team that was tasked with Public Health Service Delivery Optimisation, here she worked in the Capricorn and Vhembe District with the local health officials in finding and implementing strategies in improving the Public Health System.
In March 2007 she joined HOPE Africa as a Programme Manager; here she is tasked with overall programme management, relationship building and management, facilitation and support to Projects and Dioceses. |
