hope africa

The social development programme of the Anglican Church in Southern Africa • Patron: Archbishop of Cape Town, Thabo Makgoba

As long as desperate people have to rummage in garbage bags for something to eat, the work of HOPE Africa must continue.

As long as HIV/Aids, TB and malaria continue to claim the lives of men, women and children, HOPE Africa must respond with compassion and practical assistance.

Whenever floods, fire, drought and other natural disasters strike, HOPE Africa must have the resources to provide relief.

Under the leadership of the Archbishop of Cape Town, Thabo Makgoba, our team of project co-ordinators works hand-in-hand with local communities to find solutions to the problems.

Person by person, community by community, we help create opportunities that make real change possible in the lives of those affected by poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness and unemployment.

But we can't do this alone. We rely on caring support from our sister parishes and concerned individuals from all walks of life, in South Africa and overseas.
